Motorola intends to enter China's digital home electronics market, says Motorola China Media Relations Manager Quan Li.
The first batch of electronic products is expected to be available on the market by the end of 2003.
The company has already set out an agreement with Proview International Holdings to jump-start the manufacturing and distribution of LCD computer displays, LCD TVs, Plasma TVs, automotive video and CD/DVD players, as well as other electronic products. The display products are intended to support entertainment applications, digital content access, and remote control via wired or wireless integration with connected devices throughout the home and will make their debut at the China High-tech Fair held in Shenzhen this month.
It is believed that an increased range of products for distribution by the end of the year may be announced by the two companies later.
