British Minister for Science and Innovation David Sainsbury called the establishment of the UK-China Innovation Park in Cambridge, the first of its kind between the two countries, "an important step" in their cooperation on science and technology.
At a ceremony marking the inauguration of the park, which officially opened on September 24, Ma Songde, vice-minister of Science and Technology of China, said the park was the first of its kind in Europe and a platform for researchers, investors and companies of the two countries to strengthen cooperation. The park is expected to help Chinese businesses in Britain and Europe, playing an important role in promoting scientific and technological cooperation, said Ma.
