The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), has selected NCR's Windows-based multi-vendor ATM software Aptra Edge to run on its network of more than 13,000 cash machines.
NCR says the bank is the first in China to license Aptra Edge. The software will be installed on different brands of CEN/XFS-compliant machines. The system will enable the bank to develop and introduce new ATM services including mobile phone top-ups, cheque imaging and bill payments. ICBC, which is the largest bank in China, has also signed a separate agreement to buy additional ATM units from NCR.
