China Unicom To Buy Mobile Ops?

China Unicom Ltd. announced recently that it is in talks to buy mobile phone operations from its parent and sell in turn paging assets and businesses to the parent, while acknowledging that no terms have been agreed and there may be no deal.
Unicomm said in a legal notice that it will make a further announcement as appropriate.
