China's English training company, New Orient Co. Ltd., will co-operate with one of China's infulential Mobile service providers, ZhongKong.com, on English lessons via mobile phone.
A spokeman from New Orient said that studying via mobile phones is an innovative way to learn English and will prove extremely popular due to the convenience for students. The CEO of ZhongKong, a relatively new business that nevertheless began to make profits in its first year, commented that learning English has always been a trend as the Chinese are becoming more and more an internaional society. Zhongkong's main business is in the areas of MMS, WAP JAVA, and other mobile value-added services, with its income generated from MMS and WAP being the highest in the country.
