China's Advanced CPU Enters The Market

Ma Songde, Vice Minister of Science and Technology, told the People's Daily on Monday that an advanced central processor unit (CPU) has been created and entered the market.
Beijing University Micro-processor Research and Development Center (MPRC) carried out the CPU R&D project under the leadership of Professor Cheng Xu.
A national expert team has since appraised Prof. Cheng's product, the MPRC-863 CPU, as "safe, reliable and highly cost-effective." No further details have been made known at this time.
