Broadband Portal Site To Be Launched By CNC

According to a recent report on Sina.com, China Netcom Corporation will launch a broadband-based portal website chinaonline.com (COL.com), in early 2004 as a reaction to China Telecommunications' Chinavnet.com–currently the only broadband portal website in China.
COL, which is anticipated to go live on January 6, 2004, will provide broadband and services, while also handling the nationwide SMS service for CNC's Little Smart users.
