Genesis Technology Group, Inc., a Sino-US business development firm, today updated the progress of its new profit center, short message services (SMS) in China, operated by its wholly owned subsidiary.
Since receiving a license to operate as a wireless content provider, aggregator and mobile marketing provider in Shanghai in December 2003, the Company is now in the final stage of testing its server hosted by Shanghai Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile. In the very near future, Genesis expects to launch its SMS portal at www.yastandsms.com, with a variety of content for SMS available to over 270 million Chinese mobile users.
In addition to its current content in providing games and lottery information at www.zc8888.com, the Company intends to expand content offerings in the areas of entertainment, music, real estate, dating services, chat room and others. Genesis has signed agreements with SMS.ac Corporation, FilmFestivals Entertainment Group and IC Star MMS to distribute content through the Company's own SMS license and SMS portal. Genesis is in talks with several entities to acquire more content for its SMS operations. Genesis plans to work with local media and two Chinese wireless carriers, Shanghai Mobile and Shanghai Unicom, to market its SMS services to potentially tens of millions of cellular phone users.
