UTStarcom To Deploy 110,000 Lines Of IP-DSLAM

UTStarcom, Inc. today announced a contract win with China Netcom Corporation (CNC) to deploy 110,000 lines of its AN 2000 IB IP-DSLAM solution. This contract is part of China Netcom's aggressive plans to extend broadband services to five million subscribers in 2004.
UTStarcom maintains the largest all-IP network in the world, with approximately 5 million lines of IP deployed to date. This latest contract win with China Netcom illustrates UTStarcom's consistent successful efforts to be a leading DSL equipment provider in China. The market for IP-DSLAM solutions in China continues its rapid progression. According to recent research conducted by iResearch, China's broadband users reached 13.8 million at the end of 2003, and are expected to reach 24 million by the end of 2004.
