It is being reported that several Chinese DVD exporters, including Shinco, held a meeting on March 27 to discuss how to deal with the "337 Investigation" raised by ITC on behalf of American Zoran Corporation and its subsidiary American Oak Company.
The American enterprises have claimed that 12 companies including, some from China, have pirated three of their patents. Although some analysts hold that this has little or nothing to do with whole-set enterprises like Shinco, should the American enterprises win their case, then this will have widespread effect on the companies concerned and the industry as a whole.
