Rocket Software OSS Unit (formerly TCSI Corp.), a provider of Service and Network Management Solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a contract by China Telecommunications Corporation to provide the network management system (NMS) to run the national data network operated by China Telecommunications Corporation.
The NMS will be deployed at the headquarters of China Telecom's National Broadband Multimedia Backbone Network, one of the world's largest data networks. Integration will be completed by Rocket Software (Beijing) Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rocket Software created in February 2004. Once installed, the Rocket NMS will allow China Telecom to monitor its ATM/FR National Backbone Networks and high-speed Internet system, identify network and service problems, and respond to network and service alarms across China.
