China's first anti-terrorism robot has made its debut in an annual Hi-tech Products Fair in south China's Guangdong province.
The robot, which came about through the national technology development plan called "the 863 Project", can deal with security risks including the removal of flammable objects, and can also be loaded with automatic weapons and tear gas guns. Official estimates have approved the robot for police use, as it costs only one third the price of the imported equivalents.
