UGS Teamcenter Wins Two Contracts In China

    UGS, a global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co., Ltd. has selected UGS' Teamcenter as the PLM backbone for its vehicle design and manufacturing, while Dalian Heavy Industries & Crane Co., Ltd. (DHIDCW) has selected the PLM system for its business process re-engineering program.

    Upon completion of the three-phase project with Jinbei Automobile, the agreement will mark UGS' largest PLM implementation in the automotive industry in China. Jinbei Automobile plans to use Teamcenter to leverage critical product lifecycle information to help transform its business and increase its competitive positioning.

    The goal of the business process re-engineering program with DHIDCW is to utilize information technology to strengthen the company's core competencies, making it more competitive in the international market. DHIDCW, which produces crane, steel rolling and metallurgy equipment, will implement Teamcenter to help shorten product delivery time, reduce costs and improve client satisfaction.
