Acer is planning to ship close to 400,000 computers in China this year.
The computers will include 100,000 notebooks and 300,000 desktops. Scott Lin, President of Acer's Greater China Operations, reported that the company has reduced the amount of sales agents in China to 46, which should lead to more sales. Acer stated that the company will now focus its efforts in the desktop division while reducing the number of sales agents from 793 to 70 by the end of July.
The company also expects to ship 420,000 personal computers in Taiwan this year.
