China Telecom is shifting its role to that of an information service provider.
Its affiliate, Shanghai Telecom, has bought the move to full swing. In cooperating with Shanghai Qushi Technologies Co., Ltd, Shanghai Telecom now provides daily virus reports and antivirus services. With an additional cost of 1500CNY, Gatelock product users can install anti-virus software and hardware.
In order to guarantee a continued high quality service, Shanghai Telecom insisted that Shanghai Qushi Technologies Co., Ltd train dozens more engineers. Despite the well trained staff, however, the services provided by Shanghai Telecom are currently not up to par with China Telecom, which charges only 10-15 CNY for similar services.
