Tom Online announced that it would expand its current email storage to 180 megabytes (M). Experts say this is to attract more users and to make preparations for its entry into the instant communications market in the second half of 2004.
After expansion, the free Tom.com email will be enlarged from 10M to 150M, and the attachment storage will be increased from 2M to 8M, hence meeting some users' demands for large attachments.
In addition, it will also provide a 15M briefcase and 15M photo album. Starting August 20, users can login to Tom.com to register online and the inbox functions will be opened after September 1.
