NEC plans to increase its exports of mobile phones to China by 150% to more than five million in the next two years.
Faced with faltering demand at home, Japan's largest mobile phone manufacturer hopes to increase its share of the Chinese market, where sales grew to about 60 million handsets in 2003, up 9% over the previous year.
