Forlink Launches Redesigned Software Portal

    Forlink Software Corp. Inc. today announced that it has launched the redesigned software portal www.softhouse.com.cn.

    The new Softhouse.com.cn is hosted and managed on For-online 1.0, Forlink's Application Service Provider platform, a vertical portal specializing in providing software industry news, software download, technology analysis, discussion forum, free email services, etc. It will also provide users with an online software sale/procurement platform in the future. Its main visitors are software vendors, enterprises seeking software solutions, software engineers, as well as other interested organizations and individuals.

    China has more than 8,000 software enterprises with 18,000 kinds of products. The sale of software and information technology products in China is forecasted to reach some US$25.3 billion in 2004, an increase of 30% compared to 2003, according to the Ministry of Information Industry. The launch of Softhouse.com.cn is expected to further facilitate software development, information exchange, and software sales.
