Qualcomm Incorporated and Amoi Mobile, a handset manufacturer based in China, today announced that the companies have signed a worldwide commercial CDMA subscriber unit license agreement.
Under the terms of the multi-million dollar, royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Amoi Mobile a license under its CDMA patent portfolio to develop, manufacture and distribute cdmaOne and CDMA2000 1X/1xEV-DO subscriber units. The royalties payable by Amoi Mobile are at Qualcomm's standard rates and are the same irrespective of CDMA standard for which the subscriber units are sold.
