Tencent Shifting To Comprehensive Internet Service

Ma Huateng, president and CEO of Tencent disclosed at an interview with the domestic media that the company will implement its multi-dimension strategy in order to make a breakthrough in its single service.
In order to achieve this end, Tencent has decided to exploit four new methods of profit-making from its current QQ user source, namely, network games, network ads, online music and e-commerce.
Tencent's number of online game players reached 620,000 by August 27, making it one of the largest entertainment game portals in China. At the same time, with the rapid increase in popularity of the QQ website, Tencent ranks sixth amongst Chinese portals.
