In a press conference held on September 6, Mr. Yan Xiaohong, Deputy Director of the State Copyright Bureau said that Internet-based copyright protection has been listed in China's legislation plan.
Mr. Yan said that, although copyright protection on the internet is quite complicated, the government is playing an active role in dealing with the issue.
So far, China has generated special regulations to control network service providers. In addition, the country is working hard to link its own newly-made regulations to the two existing world treaties.
