Yesterday Mr. Shao Yibo, CEO of Eachnet–China's largest online transaction platform–announced in Shanghai that in the next two weeks, Eachnet will be joined to eBay, which recently purchased the platform.
The new platform will be formally put into use on or around September 17, by which time, Eachnet's 69 million users will be able to carry out online-trading with eBay's 100+ million users.
While this move brings bigger profits for Eachnet, it is believed that it might cause trouble for some of the company's users, who will have to change their username if they are the same as that of e-Bay's users.
