SMIC Wants To be Closer To Infineon Technologies AG

Mr. Ma Ke, Operator of SMIC said to the German business press recently that German-based Infineon Technologies AG has been their most important partner, and that they hope to further their cooperation and expand it to the logic chips industry.
On Infineon Technologies AG's part, however, its Asia-Pacific area president stated that they have a stable cooperation with Taiwan Liandian, which they think will meet their demands for logic chips. However, he did not exclude the possibility of cooperating with SMIC in the future.
