Lucent Finds New China Head

Lucent Technologies today announced that Ivan Shen will join the company as Chairman of Lucent China and Vice President of Lucent Technologies.
Shen joins the company from the Hong Kong-based marketing consulting firm of Global Pioneer, where he served as president. As Lucent's senior executive in China, Shen will focus on expanding Lucent's presence in the China market, which currently represents about 11% of the company's revenues.
Shen comes to Lucent after nearly 14 years at Global Pioneer, where he worked with several telecommunications companies as well as companies in other industries. Prior to that he worked for AT&T for nearly 14 years in a variety of management and technical positions, including as one of the executive leaders for AT&T's entry into the China market, serving for four years as vice president and managing director of AT&T China.
