With the increasing popularity of network games, network companies are busy profiting from the issuing of online game currency.
However, because the companies have been issuing the currency without any forethought, the virtual assets purchased by players have been steadily losing value, even reducing players to poverty in extreme examples. Players in turn are complaining that, since the network operators are not taking any measures to protect their users' interests, the operators are guilty of illegally generating profits.
In order to guarantee the safeguarding of consumers' interests, experts are suggesting that the state should play an active role in handling the issue by setting out laws and regulations to control the volume of virtual assets issued by network companies.
