BOE To Start TFT LCD Production

    BOE Technology Group Company will start volume production of TFT LCD panels at its 5G plant in China at the end of the year, the company said at the equipment move-in ceremony on September 20th.

    BOE will have an initial output of 5000 substrates and projects a monthly capacity of 85000 substrates. It expects strong sales in its 5G LCD panels, which are applied in notebook and desktop PCs, large-screened color TV receivers, PDAs and mobile phones.

    BOE has invested around US$2 billion since its TFT-LCD construction began last September to produce 17-inch monitors and TV panels starting next year.
