In order to meet students' increasing demands on Internet resources, a "wireless campus" plan, which helps create a more flexible learning and teaching environment through mobile computing and wireless technology, has been initiated.
Intel's COO and the director of CER-NET (China Education & Research Net) recently announced in Shanghai Jiaotong University that by the end of 2004, the LAN would be deployed to 100 top universities in China including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University and Tongji University.
