Yesterday, China Mobile and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) launched a mobile phone banking SMS service across the country.
If clients use a China Mobile cell phone to send short messages to 777795588, a special service number belonging to ICBC, they can receive bank account information detailing fund transfers, donations, and expenditures.
ICBC is the first bank in China to launch such a service.
