Upon signing an agreement with Jiangxi Digital TV on October 11, Mr. Feng Guanping from Tsinghua University announced that after several rounds of testing, the base Digital TV standard will come out by the end of the year.
Because of its independent intellectual property in key technology and core chips, Tsinghua's DMB-T technology is likely to become the most important basis for the standard.
Separately, in order to facilitate digital TV development, it was revealed that Tsinghua University set up the Shenzhen Lihe Digital TV Company as early as June this year.
