At 6pm, October 17, 2004, jiangmin.com, the website of Jiangmin, an anti-virus software provider, was attacked by hackers.
The site intially appeared to have been wiped, with only one sentence being displayed to visitors. The site was then totally inacessible by 6:50pm, and was only able to resume operation around 8:15pm.
It is still a relatively rare occurence in China for anti-virus websites to be attacked in this way.
