Langchao ERP and Oracle have long been rivals in the Chinese software market, but it is now being reported that they have entered into a strategic partnership.
Midea is said to have acted as matchmaker between the two after it first adopted Langchao's fund management system in 2003. Since the project involved a large amount of funds, and was difficult for Langchao undertake on its own, Oracle was invited by Midea to participate.
This time around, the two will first work on large and middle sized enterprise applications, while additionally setting up the exchange of talent, development and management. Later down the road, it is expected that theywill further cooperate on marketing, product sales and consulting services.
