Great Wall Computer Company, one of China's largest domestic computer and peripheral manufacturers, announced that it will stop using Digitalchina as its sole outlet for computer sales.

A Great Wall spokeperson said the move would optimize the company's channel policies and lead to better distribution around China.

Digitalchina has been the sole agent for Great Wall for more than twelve months, and though industry insiders say the relationship has always seemed stable, Great Wall is looking for greater exposure. Digitalchina has retail outlets in China's first and second-tier cities and sells both hardware and software to comsumers.

Currently Great Wall competes with homegrown Legend Computers as well as foreign competitors like Dell and IBM.
