Harbin police have sentenced Cui Liquan and Wang Leyuan to 18-month prison sentences for running an online sex site.
During last year's anti-pornography drive in China, Harbin police identified the two men who ran the "Weimei BBS", an Internet chat area filled with illegal pornographic images.
According to the court's findings, Mr. Cui helped rent a server in Harbin and in order to attract more people to visit the BBS, Mr. Wang downloaded some pornographic images and information and posted them on the BBS. When their behaviors were discovered in July, there had already been over 600 pictures and other sex-related content posted on the BBS.
There is no indication that the men plan to appeal the verdict.
