Reports this week show Huawei as China's top patent owner. The company currently holds 5310 patents in China.
This past year Huawei applied for over 1000 patents and also holds 400 patents in overseas markets.
As competition increases within the communications equipment manufacturing industry, Huawei has responded with more transnational patents protecting its rights and future business.
