Beijing Software Exports Break US$200 Million

The Beijing Municipal Business Bureau has published new figures for software exports during 2004.
Software exports from the city in 2004 reached US$227 million, an increase of 64.62% from 2003.
More multinational companies either set up their branches or headquarters in the city during 2004. As a result, US$340 million in contracts were been signed with local technology firms.
Beijing has arranged for different high technology zones within the city. These zones provide special tax breaks and employee benefits to registered enterprises.
