Local media reported yesterday that the Jiangmin Anti-Virus Software Company's website was attacked by hackers.
However the company today says that because of DNS (domain name server) changes, its new location on the Internet still has not replicated around the world. Therefore, many users will not be able to visit the site's new location for a few more hours or days.
Normally DNS changes take 24-72 hours to become operational online. In order to avoid outages, many companies plan in advance with backup sites so that no online users are affected.
