Shenyang Police Arrest Online Gamblers

Shenyang Public Security Bureau has announced that after intensive investigations, over 60 suspected gambling websites have been closed.
In the crackdown that began November 24, 2004, 58 suspects have been arrested. Also CNY140000 cash has been seized, 19 bank cards have been frozen, and 56 electronics devices valued at CNY5.6 million have been confiscated.
The suspects are currently going through the judicial process and no verdicts have been handed down. Local media reports are still unclear which websites were shut and whether they were in Shenyang, in greater China, or posted overseas.
