Internet search engine Zhongsou.com says it plans to sue 8848.com, and has asked the latter to immediately stop providing an Internet Explorer browser plug-in called "Search Aide" to users.
8848 claims that since it launched the plug-in on January 1 it has had over 2.6 million users download the software. 8848's plug-in taps into ten popular Chinese search engines, including one from Sohu.com (SOHU), and 8848 says companies like Zhongsou should be pleased with the increased traffic.
There is no word yet on which court will hear the case.
