25 Enterprises Join Zhongguancun IPv6 Industry Alliance

Local media reports that an organization called "Zhongguancun Next Generation Internet Industry Alliance" will be formed in Beijing on February 28 and focused on IPv6 technology.
The organization's core will be comprised of eleven high-tech enterprises, telecom operators and research institutions: Tsinghua Bit-way, Biigroup, China Netcom, Computer Institute of Chinese Academy of Science, Jiaxun, Gangwan Network, Lenovo, BOE, Shouxin Technologies, Techfaith and the Great Wall Enterprise Strategy Study Center.
The organization's purpose is to create closer industry ties for the next-generation Internet industry. The group says fourteen other as-yet unnamed enterprises will be joining the organization soon.
