A "Secret Weapon" developed by Kingsoft, a Chinese anti-virus software manufacturer, will be unveiled this week. The company says this new anti-virus software can be used to better control viruses on networks and personal computers.
According to Wang Quanguo, an executive at Kingsoft, the company's new Kingsoft Anti-virus Power 2005 software has a special feature that can now automatically update itself with new virus definitions.
Other multinational anti-virus software makers like Grisoft and Symantec already have these auto-update features installed. However many Chinese businesses and government departments prefer the Kingsoft product because of security concerns surrounding the use of non-Chinese software.
