On the heels of releasing a long-anticipated upgrade to its anti-virus software on March 21, there is now word that Kingsoft is eyeing a Nasdaq listing.
Chinabyte reports that Kingsoft's president Qiu Bojun hopes to raise CNY2 billion in a public offering, but Lei Jun, CEO of Kingsoft, has refused to disclose any details.
Kingsoft has three major services: online games, anti-virus software and office software. The company recently completed the layout for the launch of its online games.
The company's network platform Kingsoft Online also provides strong support for the three services. The company has merged its software client-side products to a more networked environment, which some analysts say will help investors realize greater potential if the company goes public.
