Beijing Radio Station will start a trial broadcast on a 3G digital audio frequency on April 18.
According to Wang Liang, director of the Beijing Radio Station, this kind of technology can not only achieve the same voice quality as that of CD, but also show TV programs and deliver other data information services.
Qin Xuegang, general manager of Beijing Yuelong Digital Broadcasting Media Technology Company, told local media that mobile phones will be targeted as the listening device for the new programs.
After the trial broadcast in April, Beijing Radio Station will launch six digital broadcasting programs during the second half of 2005.
