China's National Development and Reform Commission announced that five new domestic enterprises have been approved as mobile phone manufacturers.
Those five companies are Huawei Technologies, Hisense, Dalian Daxian Pantech Company, Aux and Jiangsu Gaotong Mobile.
This is the first group of enterprises approved by the National Development and Reform Commission since "Several Rules on the Approval of Mobile Communications System and Terminal Investment Project" was released on February 19, 2005.
It is expected that the companies combined will produce approximately 11 million mobile phones each year.
