Zhang Suzhen, a marketing supervisor for Dongjin Technology, disclosed to local media his company submitted a petition against Intel (INTC) to the Beijing No. 1 Secondary People's Court last week and that the case has been accepted by the court.
In the petition, Dongjin accuses Intel of monopolizing certain technologies in China and barring general industry technological development with its software permission protocol.
Dongjin's case is actually a counter-lawsuit that the company has lodged in response to Intel's lawsuit against them in Shenzhen, and Zhang has told local media that the decision of this new lawsuit might affect the judgment in the Shenzhen case. In the Shenzhen case, Intel accuses Dongjin of copyright infringement.
There is no indication yet when the Beijing court will begin proceedings.
