Game Management Guidelines Face Five Changes

The General Administration of Press and Publication's (GAPP) Song Jianxin has disclosed to local media in Shenzhen that the monitoring rules for online games and the animated picture industry will undergo five changes in the coming days.
Currently those guidelines are outlined in the "Internet Game Publication Management Measures" issued by GAPP.
According to Song, the first amendment will be to change the term "Internet Game Publications" into "Network Game Publications" to better represent the growth of online and networked games.
Next, GAPP will add some stipulations that limit unhealthy types of games, including gambling and games involving "superstitious" activities.
The final three amendments for the rules respectively include adopting better time management recording for nationwide games; enhanced tracking of network game publishing agents; and also better supervising telecom management departments that are invloved in the online game industry.
