The largest digital library in Xinjiang province opened to the public this week.
The library was built by China Academy of Sciences Xinjiang Branch, and as a regional affiliate of the China Digital Library, this library shares the rich resources of the national library of China.
According to Zhang Xiaoyun, director of the Archive Information Center, China Academy of Sciences Xinjiang Branch, the three major databases in China- CNKI Knowledge Management Service Center, Wanfang Source Database and Weipu Technology Periodical Database have been introduced to this library, providing more than 6000 Chinese whole-text periodicals and over 8000 periodical titles of different fields.
Readers only need to pay CNY3/hour to have access to the more than 600 million information listings.
