HKBN Launches Hong Kong's Fastest Residential Broadband Service

City Telecom's (CTEL) Hong Kong Broadband Network subsidiary has today launched its bb1000 broadband service, a symmetric 1Gbps Internet access service for the residential market.
bb1000 is currently the fastest Internet access service in Hong Kong, with up to 166x faster downstream and 1,950x faster upstream rates than other providers in Hong Kong.
Using Metro Ethernet technology, the HKBN network is offering consumers different service plans. The HKBN Premium bb1000 service is being offered on the same Metro Ethernet that delivers its Mass Market bb100
(symmetric 100 Mbps) and Entry Point bb10 (symmetric 10 Mpbs). Pricing for the plans are US$215/month for bb1000, US$34/month for bb100, US$16/month for bb10.
