ProSource Plans New Shanghai Offshore Center

    ProSource Development, a has announced its contract to build and manage an offshore software development center in Shanghai, China for Polivec, an IT security policy compliance management software company.

    Polivec selected ProSource to establish the development center to increase development flexibility and reduce costs, projecting a savings up to $2 million dollars a year with the new operation.

    Under the agreement, ProSource will design and staff a software development operation for Polivec in Shanghai. The operation will develop, maintain and support the Polivec suite of compliance software applications. ProSource will staff, train, and manage the development teams, provide technical leadership, personnel development and retention services. ProSource will also provide the Polivec offshore software development (OSD) infrastructure in Shanghai and manage the ongoing business processes and operational policies.

    ProSource Development provides Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) like Polivec outsourced development services through two packaged solutions: Turnkey Software Product Development (project-based services for end-to-end software development) and Client OSD Management (setup and management of a client software development & support center).
