China Communications Standardization Association Formally Launches 3G Frequency Work Team

A 3G work team has been formed by the China Communications Standardization Association during its sixth plenary session.
Li Jingchun, chief engineer from the National Radio Monitoring Center will work as director, and Lang Baozhen from the Telecom Research Institute of MII will fill the role of the team's deputy director.
The team will focus on frequency issues related to TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and CDMA2000. It has already quickly worked out five reports on disturbance protection for 3G mobile communications including the "WCDMA-WCDMA Frequency Disturbance Project Study" and the "CDMA 2000-TD-SCDMA Frequency Disturbance Project Study".
The work team has also arranged 15 new programs for 2005, covering GSM, CDMA, PHS, SCDMA, RFID, 802.16(WiMAX) and UWB.
