DigitalChina has stunned the domestic computer market by launching two laptop computers, each priced at only CNY3999.
The new Chenglong A211C computer adopts the AMD mobile AthlonXP-M2100+ processor. The Tianyun P180C also comes with an AMD processor.
Local media report that Wu Haijun, a general manager at DigitalChina, says there is only about 100 yuan profit for each computer sold at this price level. The company will gradually optimize the configuration of its current products and plans to make them more valuable to consumers, but DigitalChina does not plan to offer even lower-priced machines.
